A life-long Charlottean, Scott has been in the financial services industry since 1988. In September of 2011, he merged his firm, Executive Financial, with BEJS to sharpen his client-centric focus on specializing in helping business owners and key executives with retirement and estate planning solutions.
Scott received his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in 1985 from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. During his time there, Scott excelled as a four-year letterman on the varsity swim team and garnered the distinction of “ACC Honor Roll,” which recognizes scholar athletes for excellence in both academics and athletics.
He maintains three industry designations: Certified Financial Planner (CFP), Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU), and Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC). He is also a member of a number of professional organizations: Advanced Association of Life Underwriters (AALU); the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (NAIFA); The Financial Planning Association (FPA); the Society of Financial Services Professionals (SFSP); the Charlotte Estate Planning Council; and the Charlotte Benefits Forum. Locally, Scott is an active member of Westminster Presbyterian Church, the Charlotte Leadership Forum, and the Dowd YMCA.
Scott and his wife, Vicki, have a daughter, Savannah, and a son, Daniel. As a sports enthusiast, he enjoys golfing, water skiing, snow skiing, and working out.
